Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Musician role based in Chennai at John's Zamar School of Music. The Musician will conduct individual and group lessons in instruments such as keyboard, piano, and drums, as well as music theory and examination preparation. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering structured lessons, demonstrating techniques, providing constructive feedback, and monitoring student progress. The role involves preparing students for performances and graded exams, maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment, and collaborating with the school team to enhance course content and teaching methods.



The Musician will also participate in recitals, workshops, and other school events to support student performance experience. Qualifications
• Strong practical skills in one or more instruments (e.g., keyboard, piano, drums) and the ability to demonstrate proper technique and performance practices.
• Sound knowledge of music theory and structured music education, including familiarity with graded exam syllabi such as Trinity College London.
• Experience in teaching or coaching musicians, with the ability to plan lessons, evaluate progress, and adapt instruction to different learning levels.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered approach and the ability to motivate and encourage learners of diverse ages.
• Organizational and time-management skills to manage full-time teaching schedules, lesson planning, and preparation for performances and examinations.
• Relevant qualifications such as formal music training, performance diplomas, or certification from recognized music boards; prior teaching experience in a music school or academy is an advantage.
