Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for the position of Head of Department (HOD) across Plant, Production, Engineering, Technical, R&D;, Commercial, and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The HOD will lead cross-functional teams to ensure efficient plant operations, optimize production processes, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Daily responsibilities include overseeing production planning and execution, coordinating with engineering and technical teams for equipment reliability and process improvements,



and guiding R&D; on product and process innovation aligned with market needs. The role also involves managing commercial activities such as cost control, vendor relationships, and budget adherence, while driving SCM strategies for inventory optimization, timely procurement, and on-schedule deliveries. The HOD will collaborate with senior leadership to set performance metrics, review operational data, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and develop team capabilities through coaching and structured performance management. Qualifications
• Strong Production Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering skills to lead plant operations, improve processes, and support technical problem-solving.
• Experience in Production Planning, including capacity planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and optimization of throughput and efficiency.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, monitor KPIs, drive root-cause analysis, and support data-based decision making.
• Effective Communication skills for cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, reporting to leadership, and team development.
• Proven leadership experience in plant or manufacturing environments, preferably in tyres, automotive, or off-highway products.
• Understanding of quality systems, EHS (Workplace, Health, and Safety) standards, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage commercial aspects, cost optimization, vendor relationships, and supply chain processes.
