Role Description The Customs Broker & Trade Compliance Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for managing and optimizing customs and trade compliance activities across global supply chains. This role includes preparing and reviewing import and export documentation, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, and coordinating with customs authorities and logistics providers. The specialist will monitor tariff changes, trade restrictions, and regulatory updates, translating them into actionable guidance for internal stakeholders and customers.

Daily tasks involve resolving customs clearance issues, maintaining accurate records, supporting classification and valuation decisions, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to improve AI-enabled compliance workflows.



The role also includes providing responsive customer service, supporting audits and risk assessments, and contributing to process improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, and cost control.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in customs processes and regulations, including Customs Brokerage and related trade documentation.
- Experience in International Trade operations, with hands-on involvement in both Import and Export activities.
- Robust Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
- Ability to interpret and apply trade compliance rules, tariff schedules, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with customs classification, valuation, trade agreements, and duty optimization strategies.
- Proficiency with digital tools and data-driven workflows; experience with trade management or ERP systems is an advantage.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent) and prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance are preferred.
