The Agency Development

Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing agency partners and advisors to drive life insurance business growth in the region. Daily activities include planning and executing sales and distribution strategies, guiding agency teams to achieve targets, and monitoring performance metrics. The role involves conducting training and coaching sessions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements,



and maintaining strong relationships with customers and distribution partners.

The Agency Development

Manager also collaborates with regional leadership on market development initiatives, promotional campaigns, and process improvements to enhance productivity and customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong sales, business development, and agency/channel management skills, with a proven ability to drive revenue and meet distribution targets.
- Experience in life insurance or financial services, including understanding of protection and long-term savings products and regulatory norms.
- Effective people management, team leadership, and coaching abilities to recruit, train, and motivate agency partners and advisors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical and planning skills for territory management, performance tracking, and implementation of sales strategies.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM or sales tracking systems for reporting and managing agency operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or similar) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar managerial or field development role within insurance or banking is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in office in the Greater Madurai Area, with readiness for local travel within the territory as needed.
