Linux Administrator - Job Description
Job Summary
Manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure while ensuring system availability,
security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Install and administer Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE); perform patching and
upgrades; monitor performance; manage users and permissions; troubleshoot OS, network, and
storage issues; support backup and recovery; automate tasks using Shell/Python scripting.
Required Skills
Linux Administration, RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu, Shell Scripting, Performance Tuning, Security
Hardening, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Storage Management, Troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, ITIL knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+ certifications
preferred.
Experience
3-8 years of Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
