We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacy-related activities, billing, medicine stock management, and customer service. The ideal candidate should have basic computer knowledge, billing skills, and the ability to handle patients and customers politely.
Key Responsibilities
Handle pharmacy billing and generate accurate bills using the billing software.
Assist customers and patients with the purchase and collection of prescribed medicines.
Check prescriptions and refer any doubts or medication-related questions to the authorised pharmacist.
Arrange medicines and pharmacy products neatly and maintain proper stock organisation.
Monitor stock availability, expiry dates, and product quantities.
Assist with stock entries, purchase records, and inventory updates.
Maintain accurate billing records, invoices, and daily transaction details.
Handle cash, UPI, card payments, and other payment methods accurately.
Coordinate with the pharmacist or management regarding stock shortages and replenishment.
Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines according to instructions and applicable procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy area.
Provide polite and skilled service to patients and customers.
Follow pharmacy procedures and maintain patient and billing confidentiality.
Requirements
Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
Billing experience is required. Freshers with relevant billing experience or training may also apply.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing software.
Positive numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Valuable communication and customer-handling skills.
Responsible, organised, and willing to learn.
Pharmacy-related qualification or experience will be an advantage.
Ability to maintain accurate billing and stock records.
