Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extraction Chemist to join our Instrumentation Department. The candidate will be responsible for sample extraction, preparation, purification, and analytical support for food and FMCG products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform sample extraction and preparation for food, beverages, agricultural commodities, and other FMCG products.
Carry out solvent extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-phase extraction (SPE), and QuEChERS extraction techniques.
Prepare samples for instrumental analysis using GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, GC, and other analytical instruments.
Perform sample homogenization, weighing, dilution, filtration, centrifugation, and purification.
Prepare reagents, solvents, standards, and working solutions as per approved SOPs.
Support pesticide residue, mycotoxin, contaminants, and other chemical residue testing.
Maintain accurate records of sample preparation, extraction procedures, and laboratory observations.
Ensure proper handling,



storage, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste.
Follow ISO/IEC 17025, NABL requirements, laboratory safety protocols, and quality procedures.
Coordinate with the Instrumentation Team to ensure timely sample processing and reporting.
Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and extraction workstations in proper working condition.

Qualification & Experience
Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or a related discipline.
Experience: 0–3 years in sample extraction or analytical sample preparation, preferably in an FMCG, food, or NABL-accredited testing laboratory.
Freshers with relevant laboratory knowledge may also be considered.

Required Skills
Knowledge of sample extraction and preparation techniques.
Basic understanding of GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and GC analysis.
Familiarity with chemical handling and laboratory safety practices.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory documentation.
Valuable analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and meet sample turnaround timelines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
