Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking receivables and payables, assisting with monthly and annual closing, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reports. The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation rules, and company policies, as well as coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.



The Accountant will also help improve internal controls, support budgeting activities, and provide timely financial data for decision-making.
Qualifications
Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, ledger management, and reconciliation practices.
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and cash flow summaries.
Familiarity with taxation, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting requirements in India.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities independently.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or similar) are an advantage.
Experience in shipping, logistics, or trading industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
