Position: CAM Programmer

Department: Tool room / Mould Manufacturing

Experience: 8-10Years
Qualification: Diploma Tool & Die Making, or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

A. CAM Programming:
Develop CAM programs for VMC and milling machines using Edge Cam and MasterCam
Program complex mould components, including cores, cavities, inserts, neck rings, and other precision components.
Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity, tool life, and surface finish.
Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, and dimensional tolerances.
Import and process CAD models using CAM software.
Reduce machining cycle time through optimized Process.
Coordinate with design, planning, tool room, and production teams to meet project deadlines and timely completion of mould manufacturing and development projects
First-time-right machining and rejection Control
Ensure components meet specified dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.




Coordinate with the quality team for inspection and measurement of machined components.

B. Required Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with CAM programming for VMC machines.
Proficiency in CAM software: Power Mill and Edge Cam
Robust understanding of VMC machining operations, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
Understanding of mould design, and precision machining.

C. Preferred Experience
Experience in plastic injection mould manufacturing.
Experience of PET preform injection mould manufacturing.
Experience ISBM moulds, blow moulds, caps and closures moulds and precision inserts.

D. Personal Competencies
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Effective coordination with design, machining, and planning teams.
English proficiency
Robust Excel skills
