Job Description Principal (ICSE School)

Job Summary

Presidency School, Nandini Layout, is looking for an experienced, agile, and visionary Principal to lead and manage the school in accordance with ICSE curriculum standards. The ideal candidate should have robust academic leadership, administrative expertise, and the ability to drive academic excellence and overall student development.

Key Responsibilities
Provide effective academic and administrative leadership for the school.
Ensure the effective implementation of the ICSE curriculum and adherence to CISCE guidelines.
Monitor teaching standards, lesson planning, curriculum delivery, and student performance.
Mentor, guide, and motivate teachers and other staff members.
Conduct regular academic reviews, classroom observations, and staff development programmes.
Manage school operations, staff allocation, timetables, and overall discipline.
Ensure student safety, well-being, and a positive learning environment.
Maintain effective communication with parents, teachers, management, and other stakeholders.
Organise parent-teacher meetings, academic events, and co-curricular activities.




Monitor compliance with school policies, statutory requirements, and ICSE board regulations.
Drive continuous improvement in academic results, teaching quality, and school performance.

Desired Candidate Profile
Master's degree in Education or a relevant discipline; B.Ed. is preferred or required as per applicable norms.
Extensive experience in school education, with a proven track record in academic leadership.
Prior experience as a Principal or Vice Principal in an ICSE school will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of the ICSE curriculum and CISCE regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and build a team-oriented school culture.
Strong organisational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
