Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP web services.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API testing.
Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured.
Create, manage, and execute API collections using Postman.
Validate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and status codes.
Perform JSON and XML schema validation.
Analyze API logs and troubleshoot issues with developers.
Automate API testing and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
Execute database validations using SQL queries.
Track defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and quality assurance activities.

Required Skills
3 to 8 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on API Testing.
Hands-on experience with Postman for API validation and automation.




Solid experience in Rest Assured Framework.
Positive programming knowledge in Java.
Experience with Maven and TestNG/JUnit.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes.
Experience in JSON and XML validation.
Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, Basic Authentication, and API Security Testing.
Experience with SQL and database validation.
Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills
Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.
Experience in microservices architecture testing.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
