Role Description The Cricket Journalist will provide day-to-day coverage of domestic and international cricket, including match reports, news stories, features, and opinion pieces. Responsibilities include monitoring ongoing matches, producing timely written content, preparing press releases, and collaborating with editors to maintain editorial consistency and quality. The role involves researching players, teams, and trends, and contributing to live updates or basic broadcasting-style commentary when needed. The journalist will engage with the fan community,



contribute to discussion threads, and help develop content ideas that reflect current cricket narratives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Janakpuri.
Qualifications
Strong Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to produce transparent, engaging, and accurate cricket content under tight deadlines.
Experience with Press Releases, including drafting qualified announcements for media and internal communication.
Solid Research skills to verify facts, analyze statistics, and provide context around matches, players, and stories.
Basic Broadcasting skills, such as live text commentary or audio/video insights, and comfort working around live match timelines.
Deep knowledge of cricket laws, formats, and current affairs, along with genuine enthusiasm for the sport.
Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Janakpuri, collaborate with a diverse editorial team, and adapt quickly to breaking news situations.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in sports journalism or media is highly beneficial.
