Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Oversight & Audits
Monitor regulatory changes from governing bodies (e.g., IRDAI, FCA, NAIC, or local state insurance departments) and implement necessary operational updates.
Conduct regular internal compliance audits across sales, claims, operations, and underwriting support teams.
Serve as the primary liaison for external regulatory audits and thematic reviews.

Licensing & Corporate Governance
Manage the renewal and maintenance of the firm’s corporate insurance broking licenses.
Oversee individual licensing, certifications,



and mandatory continuing education tracking for all broking and sales staff.
File periodic regulatory returns, financial disclosures, and compliance certificates on time.

Risk Mitigation & Policy Development
Draft, update, and enforce internal compliance manuals, Codes of Conduct, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Investigate and resolve escalated customer grievances, whistleblower reports, or breaches of compliance.
Oversee Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and Know Your Customer (KYC) frameworks.

Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or JD is a plus).
Skilled certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Associate/Fellow of the Insurance Institute, or equivalent.
4–7 years of compliance experience specifically within a General Insurance Broking or insurance company workplace.
