Role Description The Junior Accountant role is a full time, in office position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and updating accounting records. The Junior Accountant assists with accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role supports monthly and quarterly closing tasks, preparation of basic financial reports, and coordination with external accountants or auditors as needed. The position also involves maintaining documentation for tax and compliance, responding to internal queries on payments and balances,



and helping improve financial workflows to support the company’s growth.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid foundational accounting knowledge, including double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), Excel, and other office productivity tools.
Candidates should possess skills in numerical analysis, attention to detail, and data accuracy to ensure reliable financial records.
Candidates should possess effective communication, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Candidates should possess the ability to learn quickly, follow standard operating procedures, and work collaboratively with finance and operations teams.
Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of Indian tax regulations, GST basics, and statutory compliance processes will be an added advantage.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance, especially in retail or e-commerce, is beneficial but not mandatory.
