Role Description The Fitter role at Skill Matrix is a full time, on-site position based in Bhopal. The Fitter will interpret technical drawings and specifications, measure and mark out materials, and assemble, install, and align mechanical components and equipment. Daily responsibilities include using hand and power tools, performing fitting, drilling, grinding, and cutting operations, and ensuring that assemblies meet quality and safety standards.



The role also involves carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting basic mechanical issues, and collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, drilling, grinding, and assembling mechanical parts.

Experience with fitting, alignment, and installation of mechanical components, machinery, or structures.

Knowledge of basic mechanical principles, measurement techniques, and quality checks.

Ability to work in an industrial or workshop environment, including standing for extended periods and handling moderate physical tasks.

ITI, vocational certification, or relevant technical training in fitting or mechanical trades (or equivalent practical experience).

Prior experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
