DR: Build the SEO and AEO strategy from scratch for a large US DTC brand that is revamping its website, and guide the teams who implement it.
Part-time (15 hours per week), fully remote
We're hiring an SEO Consultant for a large US DTC brand that is revamping its website and wants to make organic search a priority. They're starting with a clean slate and need an experienced advisor to define what good SEO and AEO look like and see it implemented.

You'll be the brand's primary SEO specialist, owning the strategy end to end while working alongside existing content, development and design teams. You'll set the priorities before and after launch, guide the teams on technical SEO, keyword research and content, build AEO into the approach from day one, and put in place the process to track performance and keep improving over time.

SEO strategy and technical guidance
Build the SEO strategy for the revamped website from the ground up and set priorities for before and after launch.
Plan the SEO aspects of the revamp, including URL mapping, redirects, and pre- and post-launch audits, to protect existing visibility.
Guide the developer on site speed, crawlability, indexability, site structure, and structured data. The site is custom-built (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), so changes are implemented directly in the code.
Work with the design team so layout, navigation, and UX support search performance.




Keyword research and content
Run keyword and competitor research and shape a content strategy around the brand's audience, including the B2B operators the site needs to win over.
Guide the content team on page structure, on-page optimisation, and priorities.
Build Answer Engine Optimisation into the strategy from day one so the brand appears in AI-generated answers as well as traditional search.
Improve discoverability through content structure, entity and brand signals, and off-site mentions and links.
Set up and monitor SEO and AEO performance reporting (GSC, GA4, and relevant tools).
Recommend the tools, processes, and resources needed to run SEO well over time.

You have 5+ years of SEO/AEO experience, with strong fundamentals across technical SEO, keyword research, content optimisation and site architecture.
You've built and implemented SEO strategies hands-on, not just handed over recommendations.
You've worked with developers and content teams to get changes shipped, and you have working knowledge of AEO.
You work independently, prioritise well and follow through, since you'll be the main SEO voice in the business.

Built an SEO strategy from scratch, or supported a website revamp or recent site launch.
Worked with DTC or consumer brands.
