Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PLC Control Engineer to manage automation systems, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance in the Vehicle General Assembly and Body Shop (BIW) departments of an automotive manufacturing plant. The candidate should have hands-on experience with automated production lines, robotic systems, and PLC-controlled machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle PLC programming, troubleshooting, and modification of automated production lines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems used in Vehicle General Assembly and Body Shop (BIW).
- Diagnose breakdowns in PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Troubleshoot automated welding systems, robotic cells, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
- Support the maintenance of BIW equipment, including spot welding machines, welding fixtures, and robotic welding stations.
- Handle PLC-controlled assembly stations, fastening systems, and automated inspection equipment in General Assembly.




- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, and mechanical maintenance teams to resolve breakdowns.
- Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain PLC backups, electrical drawings, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance records.
- Follow plant safety procedures and ensure reliable operation of automation equipment.

Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, or Omron.
- Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with industrial robots and automated manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of automotive assembly lines, BIW automation, robotic welding, and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control circuits.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and breakdown-handling skills.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
2. 46 years of relevant experience in PLC controls and industrial automation.
3. Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, preferably in Vehicle General Assembly or Body Shop (BIW).
