Role & responsibilities :

- Manage the team of power electronics developers, mechanical and CAD developers, testers to meet targeted timelines, budget and cost with support from respective team leads.
- Design reviews and guidance to team for on-board/off-board battery chargers upto 3.3KW, DC/DC converters both isolated and non-isolated versions upto 1.5KW, IC-CPD (AC chargers), IRCD (leakage detectors)
- Manage target timelines and bill of material cost by continuous reviews, collaboration and communication
- Highly process driven, bring out the process adherence and quality deliverables within team
- Switching power supply topology selection, power device selection, magnetics design and selection
- Calculation of power losses, magnetics losses, Gate drivers, isolation topologies, clearance, creepage decisions
- Simulation of power devices, simulation of magnetics such as transformers, resonant inductors, isolated auxiliary power supplies, simulation and understanding of PCB and heat sink sizing calculations, cooling strategy decisions
- DFMEA, reliability calculation- including FIT rate and MTTF, APQP process adherence and supporting documentation
- Continuous cost optimization by validation of alternate sources/ design strategies
- Test plan creation,



sample creation and execution of Design validation tests, Certification tests
- Customer facing role stay responsible for technical deliveries and timelines of the team

- Hands-on experience in end to end development including post SOP issue handling in any of the power electronics products for Automotive EV industry
- Experience working with automotive EV OEMs- 2/3 wheelers and 4-wheelers
- Data visualization and analysis tools for CAN bus such as Vector toolchain, PCAN toolchain
- Demonstrated use of of Artificial Intelligence toolchain for productivity improvement in operational tasks
