Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering only

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering to handle mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of production equipment in the Vehicle General Assembly and Body Shop (BIW) departments of an automotive manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in automotive assembly lines and manufacturing equipment.
- Handle maintenance of conveyors, jigs, fixtures, welding equipment, and material handling systems.
- Support maintenance activities in Vehicle General Assembly and Body Shop (BIW).
- Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, and pneumatic and hydraulic parts.




- Identify root causes of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production and electrical maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain breakdown reports and preventive maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and maintenance procedures.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, conveyors, jigs, and fixtures.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing will be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Experience in Vehicle General Assembly or Body Shop (BIW) will be an advantage.
- Candidates must have hands-on experience in industrial equipment maintenance and breakdown handling.
