Position Overview:

Chandi Hospitality Group is seeking a hands-on and experienced Manager – Accounts & Finance to support the Accounts & Finance Manager in managing accounting and finance operations for our US-based hospitality and restaurant businesses.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in US accounting, reconciliations, month-end closing, payroll support, financial reporting, and restaurant accounting. The role requires someone who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities, review financial data, identify discrepancies, and work closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Operations

- Support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple US entities.
- Maintain General Ledger, journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Manage and review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
- Perform bank, credit card, merchant, and POS reconciliations.
- Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.

Financial Reporting & MIS

- Assist in preparing monthly P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and MIS reports.
- Analyze financial data and highlight variances, trends, and unusual transactions.
- Prepare management reports and financial schedules as required.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Provide financial information and analysis to management for decision-making.

Payroll & Employee Accounting

- Support payroll processing for US-based employees across multiple entities.
- Review timesheets, overtime, deductions, reimbursements, and employee-related expenses.
- Coordinate with payroll providers and internal HR teams.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and payroll-related accounting entries.
- Ensure payroll records and supporting documentation are properly maintained.





Restaurant & Hospitality Accounting

- Support accounting operations for multiple restaurant locations.
- Reconcile restaurant sales between POS systems, bank deposits, and accounting records.
- Monitor and analyze food cost, labor cost, discounts, voids, refunds, and comps.
- Assist with inventory and COGS reporting.
- Review restaurant-level financial performance and identify variances.
- Work with Operations teams to resolve financial and reporting discrepancies.

Compliance & Tax Support

- Support compliance with US accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist with sales tax, 1099 reporting, and year-end accounting requirements.
- Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax professionals as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support internal controls and finance compliance procedures.

Process Improvement

- Support implementation of finance SOPs, controls, and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist with automation and process improvements.
- Help standardize accounting processes across multiple entities and locations.
- Support the Accounts & Finance Manager in implementing financial controls.

Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with the CFO and finance team.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Operations, and Executive teams as required.
- Review work completed by junior accounting team members where assigned.
- Assist in training and guiding team members on accounting processes and SOPs.
- Escalate accounting issues, risks, and discrepancies to the Accounts & Finance Manager.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.




- 7+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Strong experience in US Accounting.
- Experience working with US-based companies or clients.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant accounting is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

- QuickBooks – Mandatory
- Restaurant365 – Highly Preferred
- Working knowledge of ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- SUMIFS
- Financial reporting
- Data analysis

- Strong knowledge of bank, credit card, POS, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Toast, Clover, Square, or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience

- US restaurant or hospitality accounting.
- Multi-unit/multi-location restaurant accounting.
- US payroll and payroll reconciliation.
- Month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Restaurant P&L; and profitability analysis.
- Experience working with CPAs, auditors, and tax consultants.
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting.
