SoCEMU (System - on - a -Chip Emulation Models and Usecases

Bengaluru

Company Description SoCEMU specializes in System-on-a-Chip (SoC) emulation models and use cases, enabling faster and more reliable silicon development. The company delivers 30–50% faster verification cycles, software readiness 3–6 months before silicon, and significantly reduced debug turnaround times, helping customers lower tapeout risk for complex SoCs. SoCEMU offers a full range of services including emulation strategy and ROI analysis, acceleration of verification cycles, and pre-silicon software bring-up. Its expertise extends to hybrid verification architectures, system-level validation with production workloads, deep debug and root-cause analysis, methodology standardization, and scalable infrastructure and cloud enablement for emulation farms. Role Description The Emulation Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full time capacity, contributing to the setup, optimization, and execution of SoC emulation environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring emulation platforms, mapping RTL designs to emulators, and developing test scenarios and regression suites to accelerate verification cycles. The role involves collaborating with design, verification, and software teams to support pre-silicon software bring-up, hybrid simulation–emulation flows, and system-level validation. The Emulation Engineer will analyze performance, debug hardware/software interaction issues, and help refine methodologies and infrastructure for scalable, efficient emulation usage. The position also includes documentation of flows,

continuous improvement of emulation strategies, and active participation in project planning and milestone tracking. Qualifications
• Strong understanding of digital design and verification, including RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog), SoC architectures, and UVM or similar verification methodologies. 4+ years of Experience working either in SoC or Subsystem level hardware emulation activities.
• Experience with hardware emulation or FPGA-based prototyping tools and flows, including compile, mapping, and debug processes.
• Skills in software bring-up and system-level validation, such as booting firmware/OS on emulated platforms and analyzing HW/SW integration issues.
• Familiarity with hybrid verification environments that combine simulation and emulation, and ability to balance speed, visibility, and resource usage.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Shell, TCL) to build and optimize regression, scheduling, and infrastructure workflows.
• Relevant degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience in SoC design/verification is an advantage.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and document methodologies and best practices clearly.
• Experience with cloud-based or large-scale compute environments for verification and emulation, and knowledge of performance, power, or architectural validation is beneficial.
