Role Description The Shift Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations during assigned shifts. This role includes supervising shift staff, managing workflow in warehousing and dispatch areas, and ensuring timely handling, movement, and delivery of consignments. The Shift Leader monitors operational KPIs, coordinates with transport, customer service, and hub teams, and resolves on-ground issues to maintain service quality and safety standards. Daily tasks also involve shift planning, resource allocation, adherence to SOPs, documentation accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.



The individual in this role is expected to support continuous improvement initiatives, promote a culture of safety and accountability, and provide transparent communication and guidance to team members. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong team leadership and people management skills, including shift supervision, performance monitoring, and staff coaching.
• Candidates should possess operational planning and coordination abilities, including workflow management, resource allocation, and time management.
• Candidates should possess logistics and supply chain understanding, including basic knowledge of express operations, warehousing, and transportation processes.
• Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, address issues quickly, and implement corrective actions.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and handling internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in using digital tools and systems, such as ERP platforms, scanning tools, and standard office applications.
• Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or shift-based operations is preferred; prior supervisory experience is an advantage.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is beneficial, along with knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards.
