Public Relations Specialist / Public Relations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and business-oriented professional to join our Public Relations and Strategic Communications team.

This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals from finance, investment research, equity research, consulting, business strategy, market intelligence and advisory backgrounds who are interested in building a career in Public Relations.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of business and financial markets, the ability to interpret financial statements, and the confidence to engage with clients, media stakeholders and senior business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

- Work on strategic PR and communications mandates across industries and sectors.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, financial performance, industry dynamics and market positioning.
- Read and interpret Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets and other financial information to understand business performance.
- Track market developments, industry trends and business news to identify relevant communication opportunities.
- Support media relations initiatives, including developing relevant media narratives, identifying story opportunities and engaging with media stakeholders.
- Translate complex financial and business information into clear, relevant and compelling communication narratives.
- Manage client relationships, understand business requirements and set realistic expectations around PR strategies and deliverables.




- Work closely with internal teams to develop strategic recommendations and deliver effective PR programmes.

What We're Looking For

- 5–10 years of experience in finance, equity research, investment research, consulting, strategy, market intelligence, business analysis or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial markets and business fundamentals.
- Ability to read and interpret P&L; statements, Balance Sheets and financial reports.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand company performance, industry developments and market trends.
- Good communication, articulation and presentation skills.
- Understanding of or interest in media relations, Public Relations and strategic communications.
- Ability to engage with clients and senior stakeholders, manage expectations and communicate recommendations effectively.
- Genuine interest in transitioning into or working within a PR and communications environment.
- Mumbai based candidates only.

Preferred Qualifications & Background

- MBA from a recognised institution.
- CFA Level I, II or III qualification.
- Experience in consulting, financial research, investment research, capital markets or market intelligence.
- Professionals with experience as market specialists or sector analysts will be preferred.

Key: Prior PR experience is not mandatory. We are open to candidates from non-communications backgrounds who bring strong financial and business understanding, analytical capabilities and an interest in the Public Relations industry.
