Neuro Technician

Key Responsibilities Perform routine EEG investigations as prescribed by neurologists. Prepare patients and explain the EEG procedure before the investigation. Apply EEG electrodes accurately according to standard protocols.

Operate EEG equipment and ensure proper signal quality during recordings. Perform sleep-deprived EEG, paediatric EEG and video EEG, as per clinical requirements and competency. Monitor EEG recordings and identify technical artefacts or abnormalities in signal quality.

Troubleshoot technical issues during investigations. Maintain accurate patient records and investigation documentation. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration and cleanliness of EEG equipment. Coordinate with neurologists and other clinical staff for smooth patient care.

Follow infection control, patient safety and hospital quality protocols. Ensure timely completion and submission of EEG recordings for consultant interpretation.





Job Specification Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. in Neuro Electrophysiology, EEG & EMG Technology or relevant Allied Health Sciences.

Certification in EEG Technology is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in EEG investigations in a hospital or diagnostic centre.

Experience in routine EEG, sleep-deprived EEG and video EEG is preferred.

Required Skills: Positive knowledge of EEG procedures and neurodiagnostic equipment. Ability to perform electrode placement and troubleshoot recording issues. Good patient-handling and communication skills. Accuracy in recording, documentation and maintaining investigation records. Ability to work independently and coordinate with the neurology team. Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
