- Alongside our written journalism, we produce a growing slate of podcasts and video shows featuring industry leaders, our own analysts and our journalists.
About The Role
- We are looking for a Multimedia Producer to make those shows. This is a hands-on craft role: you will run the recordings, edit the audio and video, master and publish the episodes, build the short-form cutdowns, and keep the production schedule moving.
- Editorial direction sits with our editors and hosts. Your job is to turn that direction into polished, on-brand episodes that ship on time, every time — and to raise the production standard of everything we publish.
Key Responsibilities Production &
- Recording
- Run recording sessions for podcasts and video shows, remote and in studio — setup, levels, backups and live troubleshooting.
- Coordinate scheduling with hosts, guests, editorial teams and external participants.
- Prepare and maintain recording kit: microphones, cameras, lighting, and platforms such as Riverside, SquadCast or Zencastr.
- Guide hosts and guests on their audio and video setup so source material is clean on the first take.
Editing &
- Post-Production
- Edit long-form audio and video episodes: structure, pacing, trims, tightening and removal of filler.
- Deliver professional sound — noise reduction, levelling, mixing and loudness mastering to platform specification.
- Build and apply show graphics, titles, lower thirds, intros and outros, animated elements and branded templates.
- Produce accurate captions, subtitles and transcripts.
- Colour-correct and finish video to a consistent look across all shows.
Publishing &
- Distribution
- Publish episodes to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and our hosting platform with correct metadata, chapters, thumbnails and descriptions.
- Maintain the publishing calendar and hit every release date.
- Manage asset libraries, project files, version control and archiving.
Short-Form &
- Repurposing
- Cut episodes into short-form video, reels, audiograms, clips and social assets for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts and Instagram.
- Supply assets to the social and marketing teams in agreed formats and to agreed deadlines.
- Pull quotes, stills and highlight reels to support articles, newsletters and promotion.
Quality &
- Workflow
- Hold a consistent standard of audio, video and brand quality across every show.
- Maintain and improve production templates, presets, checklists and workflows.
- Track episode status and flag delivery risks early.
- Brief and quality-check freelance editors, designers or voice talent when used.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience producing and editing podcasts, video shows, broadcast or digital media content.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, or comparable tools (DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Logic, Hindenburg, Reaper).
- Working proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop for motion graphics and show artwork.
- Experience with remote recording platforms such as Riverside, SquadCast or Zencastr, and with standard audio and video hardware.
- A robust ear for audio quality and a strong eye for clean, on-brand video finishing.
- Proven ability to publish and optimise content for YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
- Dependable project management — able to run multiple shows against a fixed release schedule.
- Clear communication and comfort working with senior executives and external guests.
- A portfolio or showreel of published audio and video work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medtech, or business and financial media.
- Background in journalism, broadcasting or documentary production.
- Experience producing video-first podcast formats.
- Familiarity with YouTube optimisation, thumbnail design and channel analytics.
- Experience with live or event recording and streaming.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted editing, transcription and localisation tools.
