Role Description The Collections Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for managing and executing debt collection activities, including following up on outstanding payments, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining respectful, professional interactions.

The Collections

Officer will review customer accounts, analyze payment histories,



and escalate issues in line with company policies. The role involves close collaboration with finance and sales teams to reconcile accounts, update records, and provide regular reports on collection performance. The position also requires adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal compliance standards, and support in improving collection processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection skills, including follow-up, negotiation, and account recovery.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret account statements and assess payment risks.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to manage conversations with customers professionally.
- Relevant experience in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable in FMCG or consumer goods is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work with targets, and proficiency with spreadsheets or ERP/accounting systems are preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is advantageous.
