About Country Chicken Co

Country Chicken Co is India's first traceable brand of naturally raised meat and eggs: country chicken, country mutton and country eggs. Since 2020 we have served 50,000+ families from our own omnichannel stores, our app and website, and Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart. Our supply comes from 630+ farmer households across 4 states, and is processed at our own unit in Shankarpalli. Every batch is lab-tested by FARE Labs (NABL) for antibiotic residues and banned substances.

The role

You will run Country Chicken Co day to day and own the operating P&L;, from store revenue to EBITDA. You report to the Founder & CEO, and the heads of operations, marketing, HR, procurement, farmer network and tech report to you. That's about 95 people, most of them on the store and unit floor.

What you'll do

- Run the business every day: stores, delivery, the processing unit, procurement, the farmer network, marketing, HR and tech.
- Open stores on time and on budget. We have 6 today and 11 by February 2027, with Bangalore next. You'll find and negotiate new sites with landlords.
- Grow our quick commerce channels, and get us listed with supermarket and modern trade chains. You'll lead those negotiations yourself.
- Hire, train and keep a strong team: store managers, a new cluster manager layer, blue-collar staff and function heads.



Run goal-setting and appraisals.
- Keep our quality and compliance standards high: lab-testing cadence, store audits, FSSAI and store licences, PF and ESI.
- Report on the business every week with clear numbers, and hit agreed targets for revenue, store EBITDA, wastage and customer complaints.

What you bring

- 10–15 years in operations, including P&L; ownership of a multi-outlet food business of ₹50 Cr+ (fresh meat or fish, QSR, grocery retail, dairy or food D2C).
- Experience leading 100+ people, including blue-collar store or plant teams. You've hired and trained store managers.
- You've negotiated with quick commerce platforms, up-to-date trade buyers or landlords yourself.
- Comfort on the store floor. You'll be in our stores, the unit and the field every week.
- Based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate.

Good to have

- Perishables supply chain, farmer sourcing, or FSSAI and food-safety systems.
- Experience through a fundraise or an IPO.
- Telugu, for working with store teams and farmers.
