Blackline- Manager

Position Summary

As a Manager on our BlackLine implementation team, you will lead the delivery of multiple BlackLine implementations for external clients at the same time, from requirements through go-live and hypercare. You will be accountable for engagement quality, timelines and client satisfaction, and for developing the team that delivers the work. You will spend your time on oversight, client leadership and key design decisions rather than day-to-day configuration.

Work you'll do

- Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent BlackLine implementation engagements, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks and quality

- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, including steering committees, status reporting and issue escalation

- Provide solution leadership across BlackLine modules, including Transaction Matching, Account Reconciliation, Intercompany Hub and Journals, by reviewing designs, guiding key design decisions and resolving complex issues

- Oversee requirements and design workshops, data integration and migration approach, and testing strategy, while reviewing functional requirements, design specifications and configuration workbooks for quality

- Manage engagement financials, resource planning and change control across projects

- Lead, coach and develop Senior Consultants and Consultants across onsite and offshore teams, including performance feedback and staffing

- Support pursuits and proposals, including solution shaping and effort estimates

- Build team assets, accelerators and leading practices, and strengthen our working relationship with BlackLine

The team

Our Controllership team helps organizations strengthen financial reporting, reduce risk and meet accounting and regulatory requirements across complex operating models. BlackLine implementation is one of the key services we offer within the team. As part of this, our BlackLine implementation team helps clients modernize and automate their financial close.

We implement BlackLine across reconciliations, matching, Intercompany Hub and journals to improve control, speed and accuracy.



You will work alongside finance, technology and delivery professionals on client engagements across industries.

Qualifications

Required

- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on BlackLine implementation experience

- Experience on implementations for external clients, such as consulting or system integrator projects (internal-only or in-house experience does not meet this requirement)

- Experience across the full implementation lifecycle: requirements and design, configuration, testing, go-live and hypercare

- Hands-on implementation experience in at least one of these BlackLine modules: Transaction Matching, Account Reconciliation, Intercompany Hub, Journals

- Proven experience managing multiple projects or workstreams at the same time, and leading teams of consultants

- Experience managing client relationships and engaging senior finance stakeholders

- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical design
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or a related field, or a CA or CPA qualification

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with client stakeholders and distributed teams

Preferred

- Experience with more than one BlackLine module

- BlackLine certifications

- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle, including data extracts and interfaces

- Experience supporting pursuits, proposals or effort estimation

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel for data analysis and mapping

Location: Bengaluru / Hyderabad / Pune / Chennai / Mumbai / Gurgaon

Shift timings: 11 AM to 8 PM depending on business needs
