A. Periodic GST Returns & Compliance
Prepare and file monthly / quarterly GST returns across all group GSTINs GSTR-1 (outward supplies), GSTR-3B (summary return and tax payment), and QRMP returns / IFF where applicable within statutory due dates.
Generate and validate e-invoices (IRN / QR code) and e-way bills, and ensure B2B outward data flows correctly into GSTR-1 and the auto-drafted returns.
Compute monthly GST liability, including tax payable under Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) under Section 9(3) / 9(4) of the CGST Act, 2017, and ensure correct discharge through cash / credit ledgers.
Prepare and file the annual return GSTR-9 and the reconciliation statement GSTR-9C, with supporting workpapers tying back to the audited financials.
Track statutory due dates, late-fee and interest exposure, and maintain a live compliance calendar for all registrations.
B. Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management & Reconciliation
Reconcile ITC in the books against GSTR-2B on a monthly basis; identify and follow up on missing, mismatched or ineligible credits.
Apply ITC eligibility conditions under Section 16 (including the Section 16(4) time limit for availment)
and restrictions under Section 17(5) (blocked credits); ensure credit is availed strictly as reflected in GSTR-2B / Rule 36(4).
Coordinate with vendors and the accounts-payable team to resolve supplier-side non-filing, so that eligible credit is not lost.
Maintain a reconciliation register for ITC as per books vs. GSTR-2B vs. GSTR-3B, carried forward period-on-period.
