Shift Officer Pre-Spinning and Preparatory - Yarn

Role Purpose

Responsible for managing pre-spinning/preparatory operations to ensure consistent material preparation, achievement of production targets, required quality parameters, optimum machine utilisation, waste control and effective manpower deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage production operations across Blow Room, Carding, Draw Frame, Comber and Speed Frame/Roving sections, as applicable.
Ensure achievement of daily/shift production targets while maintaining required quality and process parameters.
Monitor mixing, blending, fibre preparation, sliver quality and roving quality to ensure consistent material flow to the spinning section.
Monitor machine performance, production efficiency and process parameters to minimise production losses.
Control process waste, fibre loss, quality variations and material consumption.




Ensure effective manpower planning and deployment across machines and shifts.
Analyse production and quality deviations and initiate corrective actions.
Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams for process optimisation, preventive maintenance and breakdown resolution.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards, housekeeping and shop-floor discipline.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality, cost reduction, waste reduction and machine efficiency.

B.Tech- Textile Technology
M.Tech- Textile Technology
Diploma in Textile Technology

Ideal Profile

Candidate with hands-on experience in Pre-Spinning/Preparatory production, particularly Blow Room, Carding, Drawing, Comber and Speed Frame/Roving, with responsibility for production, quality, manpower, waste and machine efficiency.
