Should have knowledge of assembly of rotors in high-speed balancing tunnel
Able to visually check rotor
Able to take TOP / Side clearance of bearing & rotor journal
Able to perform alignment of rotor with motor shaft
Able to trouble shoot issues pertaining in assembly process
Can study P&ID;, electrical drawings for maintenance & operation parameters
Have a positive approach for trouble shooting of electrical, mechanical & instrumentation issues in generator testing, high speed balancing &
Able to handle unionized workmen in shift, ready to work in shifts
Additional Vibration category – 2 certification is preferable
Able to handle customer at site for overhauling activities like in-situ balancing, electrical test on generator stator & rotor, calibration of instruments & operation/maintenance of auxiliaries, ready to travel at different sites
Should have knowledge of basic instrumentations/transducers like pressure transmitter, pressure gauge, RTD, Thermocouple etc.
