Job Purpose:

The Hostel Warden is responsible for the effective management and supervision of the hostel, ensuring the safety, discipline, and well-being of all boarding students. The role involves creating a homely workplace, fostering cultural sensitivity, and supporting the holistic development of students in line with the values of the international school.

Key Responsibilities

Student Care & Supervision
Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all hostel residents at all times.
Maintain discipline, order, and decorum in the hostel as per school policies.
Monitor students daily routines (wake-up, hygiene, meals, study hours, lights out).
Provide emotional support and counseling to students when needed.

Administration & Operations
Oversee hostel facilities, cleanliness, and maintenance of rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.




Maintain student attendance records, leave permissions, and movement registers.
Coordinate with kitchen and housekeeping staff for meals and upkeep of the hostel.
Implement hostel rules, policies, and safety protocols consistently.

Pastoral & Academic Support
Support students in balancing academics, extracurriculars, and personal life.
Encourage participation in hostel/community activities that build life skills.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student welfare.
Act as a mentor and role model, respecting cultural diversity and inclusivity.

Safety & Security
Conduct regular roll calls, night checks, and emergency drills.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and security standards.
Report any incidents, accidents, or behavioral concerns immediately to school authorities.
