About Highland Holdings Highland Holdings is a US company with gaming, hospitality and real estate businesses run through several entities. Our Dehradun team works directly with our US teams, and the shift (12:00pm–8:30pm IST) overlaps with Chicago mornings.

The role Our US HR team needs a hands-on HR Generalist to run payroll in Paylocity, manage benefits, support employees and managers across our US businesses, and help build out our people systems and processes. You'll work directly with US HR leadership and own important parts of the employee lifecycle.

What you'll do
Run payroll from start to finish in Paylocity: collect inputs, process recent hires, terminations and changes, check registers and fix discrepancies before payroll goes out
Administer benefits: enrollments, life-event changes, open enrollment and coordination with carriers
Keep employee records accurate and handle onboarding and offboarding paperwork
Answer employee and manager questions on pay, benefits and HR policies, by email and video call
Build and document HR processes, SOPs and reports, and help get more out of Paylocity
Support compliance work such as I-9s, audits and year-end payroll reporting




Prepare HR and payroll reports and reconciliations in Excel

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field
2–5 years of HR generalist or HR operations experience (not only recruiting)
Hands-on experience with Paylocity or a similar HRIS/payroll system (ADP, Paycom, Paychex, UKG, Workday, etc.)
Has run payroll and administered benefits directly
Good Excel skills
Clear written and spoken English. You'll work directly with the US team
Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion

Nice to have
US payroll experience: multi-state, overtime, tipped or hourly employees, garnishments
US perks knowledge: 401(k), COBRA, ACA, HSA/FSA
Experience with hospitality, gaming or other high-headcount hourly workforces
Experience at a KPO or outsourced firm serving US clients
SHRM or HRCI certification
