Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering

Job Purpose

Responsible for operating, programming, and optimizing CNC sheet metal and pipe bending machines while applying DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly) principles to improve manufacturability, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC sheet metal, tube, and pipe bending machines.
Optimize bending processes, tooling selection, and machine parameters to achieve production targets.
Review drawings and designs from a DFMA perspective and provide manufacturability improvements.
Ensure compliance with dimensional, quality, and safety requirements.
Troubleshoot process, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime and rework.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for smooth execution of projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction,



and process standardization.
Support current product development, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.

Required Skills
Hands-on experience with CNC Press Brake, Tube Bending, and Pipe Bending Machines.
Solid knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication and DFMA principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Experience in tooling selection, process optimization, and quality control.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo preferred).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis.

Preferred Industry Experience Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Steel Structures, Automotive, Railways, Oil & Gas, or Process Plant Industries.

Reduction in rejection, rework, and cycle time.
Manufacturing cost savings through DFMA initiatives.
Achievement of quality and delivery targets.
