An SAP BASIS Associate Consultant is an entry-to-mid level technical role responsible for the installation, monitoring, configuration, and day-to-day administration of SAP system landscapes (such as SAP S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and SAP BTP). [1, 2, 3]Core Responsibilities
System Administration & Maintenance: Assist in installing, patching, upgrading, and applying support packages/OSS notes to SAP ABAP and Java systems. [1, 2, 3]
Database Management: Monitor and support database performance (including SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server). [1, 2]
Transport Management System (TMS): Manage software transports and move requests across development, quality assurance (QA), and production landscapes.
Client Administration: Perform client copies, system refreshes, and backup/restore support activities.

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Track system logs, memory usage, and background jobs; participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis. [1, 2]
User & Security Management: Handle user maintenance, role/profile assignments, and basic security audits under senior guidance. [1]
Collaboration: Work alongside functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure/cloud teams (e.g., AWS, Azure) to ensure high availability and stability. [1, 2]
