Position Overview: Senior QA Automation Engineer The QA Automation Engineer Sr is responsible for the seamless integration and execution of automated quality testing within the software development and deployment pipelines. The QA Automation Engineer Sr ensures the continual expansion of organization's automated coverage capabilities, so our software doesn't reach our customers until it meets the highest standard of quality within its intended purpose.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, Performance testing and beyond
Define and enforce automation coding standards and best practices
Develop automated test scripts using Python and up-to-date automation tools like playwright
Perform framework enhancements, debugging, and root cause analysis for automation failures
Perform analysis and POC explorations of recent automation solution sets when needed
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate and implement new automation and AI-assisted testing solutions
Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to improve quality engineering practices
Mentor junior automation engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
Track, report,
and validate defects through resolution
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in QA Automation and framework development including designing, intelligent automation solutions for both traditional and AI-Powered applications
Solid programming skills in Python with solid OOP concepts
Hands-on experience with:
Playwright for UI automation
Requests/Rest Assured for API automation
Pytest or BDD frameworks
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Good understanding of automation framework architecture and design patterns
Experience in coding using AI tools such as Claude Code & GitHub Copilot.
Experience working in distributed teams
Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications
Hands on coding experience with Claude Code AI or any other AI tools and proven exposure to AI-assisted test generation, self-healing and autonomous test execution platforms
Proven expertise in building and maintaining custom test automation frameworks including Frameworks supporting AI based decision making
Experience with the WATIR framework
