Core Responsibilities
Process Control: Operate and monitor distributed control systems (DCS), computer panels, valves, pumps, and reactors to adjust temperatures, pressures, and flow rates. [1, 2]
Raw Materials Handling: Measure, weigh, mix, and feed raw materials, catalysts, and processing agents into production systems. [1, 2]
Quality Control & Testing: Take regular product and batch samples to test properties like pH, specific gravity, and chemical composition. [1, 2]
Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: Patrol plant areas to check for leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, or equipment wear; perform minor repairs and coordinate with maintenance teams. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Safety & Compliance: Follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs), wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and manage waste or emissions regulations. [1, 2]
Emergency Response: Monitor warning signals and shut down equipment or manage containment protocols during plant emergencies. [1, 2]
Logkeeping: Record data, shift handovers, production output, and incident logs accurately. [1, 2]

Key Requirements & Qualifications




Education: High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training, technical certificate, or associate degree in chemical processing or industrial technology is often preferred).
Technical Skills: Understanding of chemical reactions, industrial machinery, and digital control panels (DCS/PLC).
Soft & Physical Skills: Solid problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, time management, and physical dexterity (ability to stand for long shifts, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects).
