As an DevOps Engineer , you will work closely with a product development team and act as the key enabler for getting services production‑ready in GCP. This role is the “engine” that helps product teams onboard to our cloud, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational readiness practices , ensuring services can be deployed, supported, and run reliably in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles and ensure teams follow standard guardrails.
- Improve operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and contributing to self‑service frameworks for developers.
- Identify gaps and drive improvements across reliability, scaling, automation,
and cost optimisation for your product area.
- Partner with architects/platform teams to review architectures and ensure solutions meet cloud readiness / operational standards .
Required Qualifications
- High ownership, clear communicator, comfortable working embedded with product teams.
- GCP (3+ years) in production environments.
- Solid Kubernetes / GKE experience (running & supporting production workloads).
- Docker + container build/release patterns (hands-on).
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions (build + deploy + troubleshooting).
- Terraform (IaC) for infra delivery.
- NGINX + Helm (Ingress basics, chart usage/standardisation).
- Solid cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules, ingress/egress).
