Job Description:

Position: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Balitha near by Vapi

Experience: 5 - 8 Years

Industries: Packaging

Responsibilities:

- Maintenance planning and execution:-
- Own preventive maintenance for slitters, winders, ovens and cutting/finishing equipment.
- Coordinate planned shutdowns with Production and maintain machine histories, checklists and overdue-action records.
- Breakdown recovery and reliability:-
- Lead mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, prioritise repairs and communicate expected restoration times.
- Verify secure trial runs before handover; investigate major or repeat failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Utilities and energy performance:-
- Oversee DG sets, solar systems, compressors, pumps and electrical panels.
- Verify electricity, fuel, solar-generation and power-factor records; review fuel efficiency, energy cost per unit/per kg and estimated solar savings.
- Team leadership and safe working:-
- Allocate technician workloads and coach operators on cleaning, lubrication, inspection and tightening.
- Enforce energy isolation, lockout/tagout, PPE, machine guarding and 5S; ensure authorised personnel undertake high-risk work.
- Spare parts and vendor management:-
- Plan critical spares, coordinate approved purchases and repairs,



review contractor service quality and track maintenance expenditure.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and improvements with Production, Quality and Stores.
- Performance reporting and escalation:-
- Review preventive-maintenance compliance, downtime, mean time to repair (MTTR), mean time between failures (MTBF) and repeat-failure trends.
- Escalate safety hazards, critical stoppages, utility deviations and overdue actions with a recovery plan.

Required Skills

- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and utility maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and repairing machines and equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC, motors, pumps, compressors and gearboxes.
- Experience in maintenance planning and execution.
- Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance documentation.
- Good problem-solving and team coordination skills.

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical/Electrical

Salary :- Upto 6.50 LPA
