- Develop innovative, functional and aesthetically appealing furniture designs for residential and commercial applications.
- Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Work with software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino and KeyShot.
- Select suitable materials such as wood, metal, fabric and plastics based on durability, aesthetics and cost.
- Ensure designs are structurally sound, safe and suitable for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production and resolve technical issues.
- Optimize designs to maintain quality while controlling production costs.
- Develop and test prototypes to ensure functionality, durability and usability.
- Coordinate with interior designers, project managers and production teams.
- Ensure quality standards, project timelines and design specifications are met.
- Manage multiple furniture design projects from concept development to final production.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in:
- Industrial Design
- Furniture Design
- Mechanical Engineering
- Or any relevant field.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in furniture design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp or KeyShot.
- Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of 2D drawings, 3D modelling and prototyping.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage projects from conceptualization to completion.
Work Schedule
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Weekly Off: Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays
Age Limit: Up to 47 years
Relocation
Relocation is allowed, provided the candidate is willing to shift to Gurgaon.
