About TorqWars

TorqWars is building India's competitive RC racing. We are a sports-entertainment business running on three engines: experience-led arenas with timed racing, a league, and a D2C store for RC cars and parts. Our first arena opens soon in Bandra, Mumbai, and we are backed by The Foundery. Our mission is to make battling with machines a real sport. You will work directly with the founders and own how your function is built from the ground up.

Role overview

You will work across the business with the founders, taking on the most key problem of the month and solving it end to end: opening the arena on time, fixing a supply issue, setting up a new sales channel, or building a process that does not exist yet. You will move between strategy and on-ground execution in the same day.

Key responsibilities

- Own founder-priority projects end to end, from framing the problem to a shipped result.
- Step in where the business is stuck: operations, supply chain and vendors, D2C, partnerships, finance or hiring.
- Build the operating rhythm: trackers, dashboards, weekly reviews and decision notes.
- Run quick analyses and models to support decisions: unit economics, pricing and scenarios.
- Set up new processes and hand them over to a function owner once they work.
- Represent the founders with vendors, partners and investors when needed.

KPIs

Projects shipped on time, problems closed rather than just analysed, and how quickly what you set up runs without you.

Requirements

- Experience in a startup, consulting, investment or founder's office role, or as a founder. Senior candidates are welcome, and so are candidates with 3–5 years who have grown fast.
- A track record of solving messy, cross-functional problems end to end.
- Strong with numbers:



spreadsheet models, unit economics and quick estimates.
- Clear written and spoken communication, including one-page decision notes.
- Comfortable switching between strategy and on-ground execution.

Good to have

Ex-founder. Consumer, retail, D2C, gaming or hardware experience. Uses AI tools to work faster.

How we assess

A quick AI voice interview with your camera on and your screen shared (about 20 minutes, five main questions): a messy problem you personally solved, a live TorqWars problem to think through out loud, and what your last manager would say about you. Generic or rehearsed answers do not score well. We look at what you have done in the last 2–3 years, and we speak to references before any offer.

Your first 90 days

Two founder-priority projects shipped end to end, a weekly operating review and company dashboard running, and at least one new process handed to an owner who runs it without you.

What we offer

Direct work with the founders across every function, exposure to building a company and a recent sport from the early stage, and a path to lead a function.

Location

Work from office, Mumbai: our Worli office and the Bandra arena, plus vendor and partner sites when needed.

Hiring process

A short AI interview, a call with a founder, a 48-hour assignment on a real problem from our business for shortlisted candidates, a working session in Mumbai with reference checks, a final conversation with our co-founder, and an offer within 2 weeks of the first call.
