This is a full time, on-site role for a Planning Engineer with 6 - 10 years of experience to support large scale construction of buildings and infrastructure projects based in the Sri City, Tada, Greater Chennai Area. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for creating productive project schedules, planning production workflows, monitoring project progress, and analyzing project-related data to ensure timely completion of tasks. The individual will also collaborate with various teams to optimize operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals while effectively communicating project updates and challenges.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Planning and Production Planning processes
Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating data and optimizing workflows
Experience in Project Control and related activities
Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
Ability to work in office and manage tasks independently
Educational background in Engineering or a related field is preferred
Prior experience in the manufacturing sector or similar industries is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP) or Zoho Projects
· Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity sequencing.
· Track project progress and update schedules regularly.
· Monitor timelines, milestones, and critical path activities.
· Coordinate with Construction Project managers, Site teams, Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers.
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly /Qtrly progress reports and must be able to prepare the Dashboards with all crucial information of the projects.
· Identify delays and recommend corrective action plans.
· Track resource allocation and productivity.
· Assist in cost tracking and cash flow forecasting.
· Maintain project documentation and MIS reporting using tools such as MSP or Zoho Projects.
Qualifications:
· B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
· Relevant certifications in project planning tools will be an advantage
