We are looking for a talented Retail Store Manager to join our team at Chennai Retail Mart. Chennai Retail Mart is to the city and it would be launching officially by the last week of April 2023. We plan to hire for this position ASAP so that the candidate can start working from April first week. The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail supermarket, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. The ideal candidate should have a passion for customer service and experience in retail management.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the retail supermarket, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, and inventory management.
Hire, train, and manage staff to ensure exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience for customers.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean store environment for customers and staff.
Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or related field
3+ years of experience in retail management, preferably in a supermarket environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point of sale (POS) systems.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
