Job Title: Dance Teacher (Folk )
Location: MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School, Solapur

Job Description:

MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School, Solapur is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dance Teacher (Folk & Instrumental) to train students in various folk dance forms and coordinate dance performances accompanied by instrumental music. The ideal candidate should have a passion for performing arts and the ability to nurture students' creativity and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and conduct dance sessions for students across different grade levels.
- Train students in various Indian folk dance forms and instrumental rhythm coordination.
- Choreograph performances for annual functions, competitions, cultural programmes, and school events.
- Identify and develop students' talents in dance and performing arts.
- Prepare students for inter-school and intra-school competitions.
- Coordinate with the music department for instrumental support during performances.
- Maintain discipline and ensure the safety of students during practice sessions.
- Organize rehearsals and manage costumes, props, and performance requirements.
- Participate actively in school activities, meetings, and professional development programmes.
- Uphold the values, policies, and standards of the institution.

Qualification:





- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Dance (Folk Dance) or Performing Arts from a recognized institution.
- Certification or training in Indian Folk Dance forms is preferred.
- Knowledge of instrumental music and rhythm coordination will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Dance Teacher in a reputed school or performing arts institution.
- Experience in choreographing cultural programmes and competitions is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications and exceptional talent may also apply.

Skills Required:

- Proficiency in various Indian folk dance styles.
- Good understanding of instrumental rhythms and stage performances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of different age groups.
- Solid organizational and event management abilities.

Salary: - 20,000 Max
