Role Description

This is an in office internship role for an AutoCAD Designer based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The AutoCAD Designer intern will support packaging structure development, translating design concepts into precise 2D drawings, dielines, and technical specifications for folding cartons and rigid boxes. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and modifying CAD drawings, assisting with space planning for packaging layouts, and coordinating with design, prepress, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy.

The intern will help refine structural prototypes, document construction details, and maintain organized drawing files and version control. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional team members, incorporating feedback into designs,



and learning industry standards for print-ready packaging construction.

Qualifications

- Strong technical drawing skills, including Drawing and Architectural Drawings, with the ability to interpret and create detailed layouts.
- Experience or coursework in Construction Drawings and Space Planning, ideally applied to structural or packaging design.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with design, engineering, and production teams and documenting design decisions clearly.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools); familiarity with packaging, product, or industrial design workflows is an advantage.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Architecture, Industrial Design, Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and ability to follow technical guidelines and timelines.
- Interest in sustainable packaging, print processes, and structural innovation; prior internship or project experience in these areas is a plus.
